Trek!

Hey everyone! molly and i decided since we both had totally different experiences at trek that we would both post something so here is mine.
On Tuesday the 19th of July my stake did trek. It Was absolutely fantastic! i had an amazing experience!
The first day we were all put in to families. in my family i only really new one of the girls the other people i had maybe talked to a couple times or i didn't even know. it was my stake and the Toledo, OH stake so some of them i had never even met.
My family was amazing! i can't even begin to express how awesome they were. we all got along really good and by the end we all felt like family and that we had known each other a lot longer then just 2 days.
One the first day we had to go up and down tons of hills in the middle of all the trees and we had to go through deep mud. some of my trek sisters lost shoes in the mud and i almost did. it was crazy! One of my favorite parts of trek was the Woman's pull where just us girls had to pull hand carts up a steep hill all alone while the guys just stood on the edges of the hill and watched. they couldn't help us or do anything. it was such a testimony building experience. that night the testimony meeting was amazing!
My least favorite part was that it was 100 degrees plus humidity and so it was 105 degrees while we were pulling hand carts up hills while wearing dresses and aprons! so as you can imagine i was sweating like crazy. i swear i sweat more in those 2 days then i have in my whole life put together! it was disgusting. anyways...
On the last day we got to Zion. and after that it was time to say good bye to everyone. Just in case you haven't heard my family is moving to Fort Collins, Colorado (well we have now actually moved but at that time we hadn't.) so as you can imagine it was really hard. i was crying for like the last two hours of trek cause i was saying goodbye to all my friends. it was so hard because i have made tons of amazing friends in Indiana and it was so hard to leave them.
But all in all Trek was awesome! I would go back in a minuet. and it made me appreciate what the pioneers did so much more now!
